I am Thandiwe Wilson, a published writer and director with a BA from Howard University. My goals from this degree are in Film Directing and Creative Writing professions, particularly through the racialized lens. As a student of Howard University, I am expected to understand the complexities of race and be able to intertwine it in each one of my courses. However, within these four years, I have become quite interested in horror. I realized that there is an underdeveloped world around black horror that has yet to be fully examined due to internalized fear from both white and Black counterparts. My creative writings now explore horror from an African-American perspective. Please enjoy as you tour through my creative writings on race, horror, and tragedy.
